Wolfpack Women Crowned ACC Champions

CARY, N.C. - The NC State women's cross country team won the 2016 ACC Championship behind all five scorers placing in the top-15. The title marks the women's 22nd and the program's 38th ACC title – the most of any school in the conference. The men took third in a competitive field, as Sam Parsons led the way with a third-place finish.
 
Women's Race Recap:
Rachel Koon led the way for the women with a fourth-place overall finish, crossing the finish line in 20:03.8. Wesley Frazier took second on the team and 10th overall in 20:21.0. Alyssa Rudawsky, Elly Henes and Ryen Frazier rounded out the Pack's scoring, finishing 12th, 13th and 14th, respectively.
 
In the team race, NC State and Notre Dame battled for the top spot over the course until NC State ran away with the 53-74 win over the final 2000m. The Wolfpack used its depth to push a host of runners into the top-15 for the win.
