CHARLOTTESVILLE - The Virginia men's and women's cross country teams will compete for the conference title Friday at the ACC Cross Country Championships. The meet will be held at Beeson Park in Kernersville, N.C., with the men's race at 10 a.m. and the women's race at 11 a.m.

The Cavalier men are looking for their first title since 2008 as they compete on the 8K course. Virginia received votes in the latest USTFCCCA national poll and is third in the Southeast Region rankings. The Cavaliers will take on three nationally-ranked foes at the conference meet with Syracuse at No. 14, North Carolina at No. 18 and Notre Dame at No. 23. Virginia last competed on Oct. 4, finishing eighth at the Notre Dame Invitational.
